Membership

To become a member of Creative Aging in Nyack, you need to be at least 60 years old and live within the 10960 zip code. We are your neighbors, and we have probably passed each other on the street many times. If you want to get a sense of who we are, explore this website. During Covid-19, when we met together, everyone was masked and vaccinated. Now, masks are optional.
Member Benefits:
  • Gather with other members every other Friday for a program of particular interest to active people sixty and over. When Covid was on the rise, we met on Zoom. We still find Zoom is a useful way for us to meet on occasion.
  • Receive our newsletter, The Notes, every other week, keeping our members connected and informed.
  • Enjoy informal social, cultural and recreational activities.
  • Gain access to member-recommended lists of home improvement contractors, health-care providers and more.
  • Enjoy the option of becoming a volunteer to help with driving members to doctor appointments, or with gardening, grocery shopping, "check-in" calls, simple home repairs, etc.
  • Receive help when you are recuperating from an injury or hospital stay. Volunteers can help you with grocery shopping and rides to medical appointments.

Membership Fees:
Our membership year starts January 1. The membership fee per person for 2023 is $50 per year. Those joining July 1 or after pay $25 for a half year until December 31. Our membership is currently at 120, which is our limit. We do keep a waiting list. Please contact Ann Morgan at CreativeAgingNyack@gmail.com if you are interested in being put on the waiting list for now.

Membership Fund:

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have a small membership fund so that we can offer full membership at a reduced rate to those who can benefit from it. If you find that the membership fee is a little too high when you are trying to cover all of your other expenses, contact Ann Morgan. She will keep your information confidential.
