Certified drivers with an asterisk * after their names have been trained as Medical Note-Takers. A medical note-taker may come into the doctor's office with you to be an extra pair of ears and to provide you with their notes after the visit. As a member of CAN, you may call a volunteer driver to set up a ride when you need a ride to a medical appointment in Rockland County or northern New Jersey. Please make your arrangements with the driver at least two days ahead of your appointment.
You need to be able to get in and out of the vehicle without assistance. Be aware that you may not pay or tip the volunteer driver.
